Magnolia Crossing, a homelike senior living community specializing in assisted living and offering a select number of affordable units, will be opening Fall of 2017. The layout of the three homes has been carefully planned and designed to house and support the accommodations that allow seniors to age with dignity and grace. Residents select from a variety of floorplans that make up the 48 units. Magnolia Crossing offers an affordable option for seniors who need assisted living.
Meet the Family Behind Magnolia Crossing
The genesis for the community came from Michael and Marisa Sigala, who were and are facing monumental care decisions for their aging parents. Michael and Marisa come from a housing industry, real estate, and urban planning background. Michael is the former Housing and Community Development Director of the City of Fresno, and Marisa is a former executive of Transamerica Senior Living. Together they reached a conclusion that a better model of care for our elders is needed, something different from the standard three-story institutional 80-bed model and better designed than a standard board and care home. A model was also needed where all income levels of seniors could have access to quality assisted living in a beautiful environment.
To develop Magnolia Crossing and other communities, a non profit community development corporation was formed, Innovative Development and Living Solutions of California (IDLS). Visit the IDLS website to learn more about this exciting new company.
